tTEM tows behind a light vehicle and records continuously, so instead of a scatter of individual soundings you come away with a dense profile across the whole survey area. For groundwater mapping and aquifer characterisation over a field or a valley floor, it collects in a day what conventional station work would spend a week gathering.
